The Election Commission has allowed voters to vote in civic elections using 15 other options other than voter ID cards. District Magistrate, District Election Officer Indra Vikram Singh said that photo identity card issued by Voter Election Commission, Aadhaar card, passport, driving license, income tax identity card, state / central government, public sector undertakings, local bodies or public limited companies Voters can vote from photo identity cards issued to their employees, photo passbooks issued by public sector banks, post offices, photo pension records.
Ex-servicemen, pension book, pension payment order, freedom fighter with photo in addition to old age pension, identity card, arms license with photo, physical disability certificate with photo, health insurance smart card issued under the scheme of Ministry of Labor, National Population Register Smart card issued by the Registrar General of India under (NPR), government identity card issued to MPs, MLAs, Legislative Council members, any one of the identity cards will be mandatory.
Any of these documents which are available only with the head of the family, will also be considered valid for the identification of other members of the family. Provided that all the members come together and those members shall be identified by the head of the household.
